Scheduling Your Dental Appointments During the Holidays

We all know that the holidays can be a stressful time. You’re dealing with family coming over, purchasing gifts for an endless list of family and friends, and cooking for all the parties and meals you’re attending. The holidays can be a frustrating time, no matter how much holiday cheer people throw at you. So, to help mitigate the stress of trying to figure out when to schedule a dentist appointment around the holidays (which is important to do) here are the best times to do it.

Dentist Appointments During the Holidays

This is one of the best times of the year to take your kids to the dentist, mainly because school is out and you suddenly have time for it. Or maybe you don’t due to holiday preparation and celebration. But either way, you should consider bringing your little ones in for a checkup. This will help us determine if they’ve maybe had too many sweets during this festive time, help them get a good start for the new year, and ensure you won’t have to worry about it until next season!

As you can see on this google trends analysis below, it shows that people are generally looking for “children’s dentist” online extremely infrequently during December.

Obviously, people probably aren’t wanting to go to the dentist the same week as Christmas, but as you can see in this same image, the weeks leading up to Christmas are also extremely low, especially in comparison to January, when everyone is going for the new year and before school begins again.

Is this your first visit with us? Here’s a quick guide on how to prepare for your child’s first visit to the dentist.

Other Benefits of Scheduling in December

This is right at the end of the year, which means you have either hit your deductible or are about to. What better reason to make appointments than the fact they will be mostly free? Do you have an FSA? Your FSA requires that you spend whatever contributions you put in it that year before the year is up, so if you’re looking for a way to spend those last few dollars, this could be a great appointment to check off your list. To learn more about FSA’s and HSA’s, check out Aol’s article on the difference between the two.

You can multi-task too with this appointment. Out shopping for the holidays? Depending on which one of our 11 locations you go to, there are plenty of small shops and businesses near us that you can immediately visit after your appointment. Additionally, the office will be less busy in December so your little superhero will have more time to hang out with us! We can answer any and all questions as well as give your child special attention that we otherwise might not be able to.

The final perk of coming in December is that you can achieve a brief respite from any relatives in town for Christmas. Don’t worry, we won’t tell them.

Give us a call anytime at any of our locations, or fill out our form to schedule your appointment today. Happy Holidays, and visit us tomorrow to continue our 12 days of Burgmas!
